Epic Failures: ‘Deva’ and ‘Sky Force’ Lose Momentum – What’s Behind the Collapse?
While two new Hindi films ‘Badass Ravi Kumar’ and ‘Loveyaapa’ were released on Friday at the box office, the condition of Shahid Kapoor‘s ‘Deva‘ and Akshay Kumar‘s ‘Sky Force‘ seems to be deteriorating. While ‘Deva‘ has completed a week’s journey in theatres at a slow pace, ‘Sky Force‘ has fallen from the sky to the ground in its second week. The number of screens of both these films has decreased since Friday, so their difficulties in becoming a hit are going to increase further.
‘Deva’ Box Office Collection Day 7
According to sacnilk, Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde’s ‘Deva‘ has collected a net of Rs 28.40 crore in the first week. On Thursday, the 7th day of its release, it earned 1.85 crores, which was Rs 2.25 crores a day earlier on Wednesday. On Thursday, the film’s audience occupancy also dropped to 6.70%. In such a situation, now that the number of screens has reduced due to new releases from Friday, the earnings will fall further after the weekend among a select few audiences.
‘Sky Force’ Box Office Collection Day 14
The same is the case with ‘Sky Force‘. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapoor and Sandeep Kewlani, this film earned Rs 86.50 crores in the first week. But in the second week, it could earn only Rs 19.05 crores. In this way, the film’s earnings in two weeks could reach only Rs 105.55 crores. On Thursday, the 14th day, it earned Rs 1.10 crore and the number of viewers in the film’s shows in the cinemas has also come down to 6.82%.
Deva Vs Sky Force: Worldwide Collection
Talking about the worldwide collection, ‘Sky Force‘ has made a gross collection of Rs 137.90 crore in 14 days. Out of this, Rs 12 crore gross has been earned in foreign countries. Whereas Shahid‘s ‘Deva‘ has done a gross business of 47.25 crore at the global box office in 7 days, out of which Rs 13.25 crore gross business has been more than Akshay’s film in foreign countries
