Dharmendra was one of the numerous Bollywood stars who exercised their right to democracy on May 20, 2024.
Dharmendra arrived to vote in Mumbai during Phase 5 of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. The veteran actor was irritated during a recent media engagement when the photographers insisted on getting him to say something to the younger generation of voters.
A small group of people accompanied the veteran actor and helped him enter the Mumbai voting booth. He gave the cameras a glimpse of his inked finger after casting his ballot. The seasoned actor spoke with the journalists for a short while before getting into his vehicle.
The veteran actor lost his temper as he was talking with the paparazzi, despite his constant insistence that everyone should learn how to be a good citizen. “Desh bhakt bano, acche shehri bano, maa baap see pyaar karo,” he murmured.
Dharmendra represented Bikaner in Rajasthan as a member of the Lok Sabha for the Bharatiya Janata Party between 2004 and 2009. He most recently starred in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and Teri Baaton Me Aisa Uljha Jiya. The next film featuring Dharmendra is Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghvan.
