Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has come into the limelight due to a legal dispute over his Ludhiana concert. Diljit Dosanjh receives a notice
Diljit Dosanjh has received a formal notice from the Deputy Director of Women and Child Department of the Punjab Government on behalf of the District Commissioner of Ludhiana. In this notice, the singer was requested not to sing some songs in the live show on December 31.
Ban on songs promoting smoking
This notice has requested not to sing songs like ‘5 Taara Theke’, ‘Case’, ‘Patiala Peg’. In the complaint, Diljit Dosanjh was requested not to sing such controversial songs. Despite these warnings, the singer has allegedly continued singing the songs with slight changes.
Citing the year 2019
In the complaint, Assistant Professor Panditrao Dharenwar said that in the decision of the Punjab and Haryana High Court in the year 2019, instructions were given to the police. In this, songs promoting alcohol, drugs or violence should not be played in public events.
