DNEG’s historic win: “Dune” Part 2 wins Oscar award, Namit Malhotra brings glory to India

The Denis Villeneuve-directed film” Dune “Part 2 has won an Oscar for its visual effects. This is DNEG’s eighth win since 2011.

The 97th Academy Awards ceremony was a historic night for Finance Professor and DNEG CEO Namit Malhotra. He won the top award for the visual effects company. Visual effects supervisors Stephen James and Rhys Salcomb accepted the award. The film, adorned with more than 1000 impressive VFX shorts, showcases animation achievements such as complex rate simulation and massive CG environments.

Malhotra has made a significant contribution in creating India’s presence in world cinema through basic cinema. He has already made his mark in Hollywood. His company is now contributing to Indian epic films like “Ramayana “and “Brahmastra” Part 2.
