Raunak Raj, a recent B.Tech graduate from SRM University, Ramapuram Campus, has successfully transformed his passion for food into a thriving business empire in Chennai. Despite having a degree in Civil Engineering, Raunak chose to pursue his culinary interests, starting with a cloud kitchen alongside his friend Raj Singh. Their focus on providing high-quality, branded, and healthy food quickly paid off, growing their tiffin service from just five customers to over 2,500 daily within a year.
Today, Raunak‘s food business has expanded significantly, covering more than 30 areas in Chennai and offering a variety of services, including a restaurant, café, and canteen. His entrepreneurial spirit doesn’t stop there—he has also ventured into event management and provides catering services to over six major IT companies in the city, establishing himself as a versatile and successful entrepreneur in the food industry.
Raunak Raj‘s entrepreneurial journey, starting from a small cloud kitchen, has blossomed into a thriving business empire under Local Service Pvt Ltd. Alongside his friend Raj Singh, Raunak expanded their venture to employ over 50 staff members and achieve a turnover of ₹2 crore, firmly establishing themselves in Chennai’s competitive food industry.
Raunak credits his success to the unwavering support of his college friends, emphasizing the importance of their encouragement in overcoming challenges.
