Esha Deol: He wanted to get his daughter married at the age of 18
Dream Girl Hema Malini and Heman Dharmendra’s daughter Esha Deol‘s personal life has been quite complicated. Her relationship with Bharat Takhtani broke up this year. After being married for about 12 years, the couple got divorced in February this year. Esha Deol had to face a lot of challenges in entering the film industry despite her family background.
Now recently, Esha has described her father Dharmendra as conservative and said that he did not want Esha to ever enter films.
In a recent interview, Esha said, “He didn’t want me to enter films. He is a bit conservative and rightly so. He is a Punjabi father, and he wanted us to get married and settle down by the age of 18.” She further added that there was a phase when she would lie to go out late at night.
The actress further added, “That’s his conditioning, he comes from a place where all the women in his house were brought up that way, but my upbringing was very different.” The actress said that growing up with her mother Hema Malini made her want to pursue a career in films.
Esha wanted to make a name for herself but she had to work hard to convince her father. She admitted that it was quite challenging to convince him, however, the situation has changed now.
