He had demanded a fee of 110 crores for the film , but when the film became a superhit, producer Kalanithi Maran gave him 100 crores as bonus. The earnings of one of his films were 210 crores.
Not only this, if the news is to be believed, then the upcoming film Coolie is going to break all records. If this film becomes a hit, he can earn 270 crores rupees. This has again put him in the list of India’s most expensive actors. Just think, where the big stars of Bollywood earn around 200 crores, Rajinikanth is wreaking havoc.
