The story of the movie revolves around the family of Walkers. They are a small family of five members. The family includes parents and their three children.
Jass Walker and Bill Walker are a married couple. They have three children. The eldest daughter named CC is 16 year old. And their elder son named Wyatt is 14 years old. They have a younger son named miles who is 2 years old.
The family is living a normal life. They make plans to visit Griffith Park Planetarium. A mysterious event happens in the Planetarium. The nuclear elements split and recombined the minds and body of the family member.
Jess and CC bodies switch their minds. While Bill and Wyatt bodies switch their mind. This leads the parents to live the life of thier children. And the children to live the life of their parents. The 2 year old baby also switched his mind with the pet dog. This things creates more problem for the family.
The children faced many problems while living the life their parents. They are new to the adulthood. They have to fulfill all the responsibilities which their parents were doing. They go to their office. Do their jobs. They also take care of their 2 year old brother as parents.
On the other hand the parents face the difficulties of teenage life. They go to school, participate in curriculum activities and face harsh bullying.
While living their daily routine life and challenges, they try to find the way to get back to their original bodies.
Actors Jennifer Garner, Ed Helms, Emma Myers, Brady Noon and Rita Moreno are playing the key roles in the movie with various other actors in the supporting roles.
The movie is inspired by a children’s book named Bedtime for Mommy written by Amy Krouse Rosenthal. The story of the movie is written by Adam Sztykiel and Victoria Strouse.
