PCN Tours – Helsel Lumber Mill

PCN Tours takes viewers behind the scenes of the Helsel Lumber Mill in Duncansville, PA. Helsel manufactures Pennsylvania Appalachian hardwood products for domestic and international markets. Eleven species of wood, including Red Oak, Cherry, and Ash, are cut, then dried in their kilns to the customer’s specifications. The business began in 1926 with a sawmill and three employees. Today, 65 full-timers keep the mill humming.
