7 5 Segment 1 Dr. Davis explores the Christian Leader as Pastor (Poimenes). In both the OT and NT, the image of shepherding is given for the leader of God’s people. The Lord God, rulers and kings, and the coming Messiah are all perceived as shepherds of God’s people. The concept of pastor developed from the one-another care that all Christians give into a formal role for leaders who care for God’s flock.
