The Pleiades

(Chinese with English Subtitles) The Firmament of the Pleiades tells the story of two young men from a poor background -Wen Xiu and Chun Er- who go to the Forbidden City to find work. Chun Er becomes a eunuch for Empress Ci Xi who reigned during the late Qing Dynasty while Wen Xiu becomes a court minister. These two men become involved with the political conflicts of the empress.
