Gabby’s Dollhouse: Season 10, An animated comedy series streaming on Netflix on 5 August.
Gabby’s Dollhouse (stylised as GABBY’S DOLLHOUSE) is an American live-action/animated interactive preschool television series produced by Blue’s Clues veterans Traci Paige Johnson and Jennifer Twomey for Netflix that debuted on January 5, 2021. Gabby (voiced and performed by Laila Lockhart Kraner) and her cat friends, known as the Gabby Cats, embark on adventures inside the dollhouse.
Gabby’s Dollhouse includes built-in silences that invite audience participation. Each episode starts with live-action Gabby playing in her bedroom. She then unboxes a little package delivered to her Meow-Meow Mailbox by Dollhouse Delivery, which serves as the impetus for an adventure within her dollhouse’s animated environment.
Gabby puts on her cat ears headband and shrinks down with her stuffed toy Pandy Paws, who comes alive to startle Gabby with a “hug attack”. A common ritual may include an encounter with CatRat, who frequently emerges at random in one of the dollhouse’s rooms.
Each episode concludes with a “Gabby Cat of the Day” part in which one of the Gabby Cats is chosen to assist the viewer one-on-one in crafting, cooking, singing, or other hobbies, with Gabby appearing in a few episodes. The episode then returns to live-action Gabby, who closes it out.
