Every time the show is broadcast, people watch it with the same dedication and excitement. On this auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, let’s delve into the journey of Dara Singh becoming Hanuman and the unique arrangements made to accommodate his tail during filming.

During an interview with Lehren, Prem Sagar, Ramanand Sagar’s son, praised the commitment of the actors in ‘Ramayana.’ He shared insights into Dara Singh‘s portrayal of Hanuman, revealing that the makeup process alone took 3-4 hours to achieve the resemblance to Hanuman ji. Addressing the practical challenge of wearing a tail, a special stool with a tail cutout was provided to accommodate Dara Singh comfortably during filming.

Prem Sagar also mentioned that Dara Singh had to endure significant discomfort during the makeup process, which involved applying a mold to his face. Consequently, makeup had to be applied three hours prior to filming, resulting in Dara Singh abstaining from eating for around 8-9 hours due to his unwavering dedication to his role.
