Vijay Verma and Dia Mirza‘s ‘IC 814: Kandahar Hijack’ has sparked controversy over the ‘Hindu’ code names of the hijackers. The series is based on the hijacking of Indian Airlines flight ‘IC 814’ in 1999, with the show using ‘Bhola’ and ‘Shankar’. Many users claimed that it misrepresented the real identities of the terrorists.

Recently, the makers of ‘IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack‘ held a press conference with the cast including director Anubhav Sinha. When a journalist raised questions about the ongoing controversy, Anubhav Sinha initially refused to answer. However, he later got involved in a heated debate and angrily replied, “Aapne series dekha hai? Series dekhiye. Baat aapse nahi kar sakta, aapne series nahi dekha.”
As soon as this video went viral on social media, people started criticizing Anubhav Sinha. One user wrote, ‘The journalist’s question was correct.’ Another user wrote, ‘You should have answered Anubhav Sinha.’ Another user wrote, ‘If you are in a press conference, then it is necessary to answer.’
