How Kiran Rao’s Emotional Plea Changed Aamir Khan’s Decision to Quit Films: The Untold Story Behind Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist

Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan is known for his unique style along with his brilliant acting. Along with his films, he is now giving full time to his family. Aamir was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha. This film proved to be a flop at the box office. Aamir Khan had at one time decided to leave the industry. When he told this to his family, everyone was shocked to hear him. During this time, ex-wife Kiran Rao had said such a thing to Aamir, after which everyone was shocked.

Aamir Khan made many revelations in Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast Chapter 2. He told how his family reacted when he decided to quit acting three years ago.

Aamir Khan said- When I told my children three years ago that I was leaving films, they told me – Papa, how can you leave films. You have been involved in this like crazy for the last 20 years. You are saying this because you are emotional at this time but you will not be able to do this.

Aamir said that after telling the children, I called my production team which included Kiran. I said- I don’t need this company anymore because I am not going to make films anymore but you all are in the same profession and want to make films, so I want you to take this company from me and make films. At that time Kiran said to me – You are leaving all of us. I said- No, I am leaving films and will spend more time with you all.

Kiran said- No, you are not understanding this yet. If you are leaving films, you are a child of cinema. You are made for cinema. If you are leaving this then you are letting go of your life and the world. We are also a part of this world, so you are leaving us too. She was crying. I said – This will not happen again, you are taking it wrong but she was right. Which I did not know then.

Aamir Khan will soon be seen in the film Sitare Zameen Par. The story of this film is based on Down Syndrome. This film will be released on the occasion of Christmas this year.
