Janhvi Kapoor’s Journey of Spiritual Awakening and Coping with Loss
In a recent interview, Janhvi Kapoor, gearing up for the release of her upcoming film “Mr & Mrs Mahi,” shared a heartfelt reflection on how the passing of her mother, the legendary Sridevi, has profoundly impacted her life.

Recalling her mother’s superstitious beliefs, Janhvi revealed, “She believed in things like specific activities on certain dates and avoiding black on Fridays.” Initially skeptical, Janhvi admitted that after Sridevi’s demise, she found herself embracing these superstitions more fervently, seeking solace in religion and spirituality. “Following her passing, I decided to visit the temple every year on her birthday. The first time I did, I became very emotional, but I also found great mental peace,” she shared.

Despite her efforts to find solace, Janhvi confessed that she has not fully come to terms with her mother’s death. “I don’t think I’ve processed it yet,” she admitted. “I talk about her more now because I like remembering her…it makes me feel like she’s traveling somewhere and she will come back,” Janhvi expressed.

Reflecting on her coping mechanisms, Janhvi acknowledged that time has been the only factor that has helped her navigate through the grief. “I don’t think anything can help…you just try to remember the good things,” she said. In interviews, Janhvi often finds herself mentioning her mother, sharing anecdotes and lessons imparted by Sridevi, keeping her memory alive in every conversation.
Janhvi‘s candid revelations provide a glimpse into her journey of healing and finding strength amidst loss, resonating with many who have experienced similar heartaches.
