Jatt and Juliet 3 trailer was released on June 11. The movie starring Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa, will hit the screens on June 27.
Jatt and Juliet star Diljit Dosanjh‘s honesty and sense of humour never fail to disappoint his followers. Recently, the actor-singer shared a humorous story with the media that had everyone, including his co-star Neeru Bajwa, in stitches.
Diljit Dosanjh, during the trailer premiere event of his Punjabi film Jatt and Juliet 3 revealed that he accepted yes to the film despite not wanting to do it since the producer promised him a blank cheque, as reported by News 18.
Diljit Dosanjh remembered that he had some disagreements with producer Darshan Grewal and so did not want to be a part of the Jatt and Juliet 3 installment.
He revealed, “Darshan Singh Grewal, the film’s producer, and I had issues with each other when Jatt and Juliet 1 was being created. I wanted to go see the film and turn it down in person when I received the movie offer. Because of our past, I had gone to his office to decline the offer. When I got to his office, he said, ‘Paaji, fill the amount, I want to do a film with you,’ and signed a blank cheque in a very movie-star manner. I didn’t anticipate this.”
The singer-actor went on to say, “At that moment, I pulled my manager aside and we talked about what to do next. We are unable to decline this. I chose to enter the same amount after we found that Gurdas Maan sir was the industry leader in charges at the time. After he gave it to me, I made the decision to deposit the money with TDS, allowing the producer to revoke his offer. Add another one lakh to the amount and sign the film,” was his response.
On June 11, the Jatt and Juliet 3 trailer was unveiled. Twelve years after the second entry in the franchise, the movie is making a comeback to theatres. In addition to Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa, important roles in Jatt and Juliet 3 are played by Nasir Chinyoti, BN Sharma, Rana Ranbir, and Elena Skryabina. Jagdeep Sidhu is the director and writer of the film.
