In the program, he praised the film Gangubai Kathiawadi and said that this film has made him curious to know more about Indian cinema. He said that after watching this film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, it felt like a Martin Scorsese film.
While speaking to actor Rajkummar Rao at the Indian Film Project (IFP) in Mumbai, Joseph Gordon-Levitt shared his experience and love for Indian cinema. He praised Alia Bhatt‘s Gangubai Kathiawadi and said that he had never seen a film like it before. He said, “I loved Alia Bhatt‘s period drama Gangubai Kathiawadi. It was a really unique and beautiful film. Watching it, many times it felt like a Scorsese film”.
