Jr NTR is being scammed as his property, a land of 681-square-yard, is used to get bank loan
Jr NTR, superstar of Tollywood, is battling for a property in Jubilee Hills, where he currently resides with his family, and has asked the Telangana High Court for help.
Back in 2003, Jr NTR bought a 681-square-yard land in Jubilee Hills from Sunku Geetha Lakshmi. She faked paperwork and pledged the plot as collateral to get bank loans.
The Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT), which the banks had approached, heard arguments and issued an order allowing the banks to seize the property. Jr NTR therefore filed a case with the Telangana High Court.
A vacation bench made up of Justice J. Sreenivas Rao and Justice Sujoy Paul questioned NTR’s decision to approach the High Court when he might have used the Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunal (DRAT) as an appellate forum instead.
After bringing up the technical issue in the DRT order, the actor’s attorney was instructed by the bench to provide the docket order by June 3. June 6 is when the hearing will next take place.
When Geetha Lakshmi sold the land, she withheld information from Jr NTR on the loans she took out from several banks. In terms of his career, NTR’s upcoming film is Devara, directed by Koratala Siva.
