Kalki 2898 AD : Prabhas-starrer struggling to get past Jawan collections, earns over Rs 622 crore
“Kalki 2898 AD,” starring Prabhas, has accumulated Rs 622.1 crore in domestic box office collections after 28 days, with the film earning Rs 1.6 crore on the 28th day. Despite its strong performance, it continues to struggle in surpassing the collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawan,” which stands at Rs 640.25 crore domestically.
The sci-fi epic, directed by Nag Ashwin and also featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, has seen notable success particularly in the Telugu market, while its Hindi version has also performed commendably. However, breaking into the ranks of the highest-grossing Indian films remains challenging with titles like “Baahubali 2,” “KGF 2,” and “RRR” still leading the charts.
As “Kalki 2898 AD” approaches its fifth week in theaters, its ability to maintain box office momentum will be critical, especially with new releases like Vicky Kaushal’s “Bad Newz” entering the competition.
