Recently, during a program, she talked about the status of women in the industry. Kangana says that women are exploited in the industry.

Speaking in News 18’s Chaupal program, Kangana said, ‘Do you know how these people exploit women? These people message women and invite them to their homes for dinner. Just look at the Kolkata rape case. I have also received rape threats many times. We know that we do not respect women.
The film industry is no different. College boys comment on women. Heroes are also like this, they are no different. We all know what happens to them at the workplace.’
Kangana reminded that old statement of Saroj Khan. She said that once Saroj Khan was also asked about rape and sexual harassment in the film industry. Then she had said, “They rape but also give bread”. This is the condition of our daughters in the film industry.”
Kangana Ranaut‘s allegations have come at a time when the #MeToo movement going on in the Malayalam film industry has shaken the country. This whole matter came to light only after the Hema Committee report was made public.
