Kangana Ranaut Slap Incident: Despite having “no love lost for Kangana Ranaut,” Shabana Azmi stated that she couldn’t “find myself joining this chorus of celebrating the slap.”

Kangana Ranaut Slap Incident: Actors Anupam Kher, Shabana Azmi, Shekhar Suman, and his son Adhyayan Suman are among the Bollywood celebs who have responded to Kangana Ranaut‘s slap incident. Actor and BJP MP Kangana reportedly claimed to have been beaten and slapped in the face by a female CISF constable on Thursday while undergoing security checks at the Chandigarh airport, according to news agency PTI.

Shabana Azmi wrote, “I have no love lost for Kangana Ranaut,” on X, the former Twitter. “However, I find it difficult to join the chorus in applauding “the slap.” None of us can be safe if security guards start enforcing the law.”

Anupam Kher said to the paparazzi on the sidelines of an event, “Mujhe bara afsos hua.” Apne position ka fayeda uthakar is tarah ki harqat ki, bilkul ghalat hai, ek mahila k saath ek mahila k dwaara. Iski kanooni honi chahiye karwaayi. As much as I regret it, unka koi bhi rosh hai, main yeh nahi keh raha hoon k inka rosh nhi ho sakta jisne aesa kiya, but yeh apne audhe ka ya position ka fayeda uthakar nahi karna chahiye. It’s unacceptable for a woman to slap another woman for assuming power over her. A legal investigation into this is warranted. She is free to voice her complaints, but she shouldn’t abuse their authority to do so.”

Shekhar Suman attended the function together with his son Adhyayan Suman. The paparazzi were also interacting with them. Shekhar responded, “Woh ghalat hai, woh toh bohut ghalat hai,” when asked how he felt about the event. “Durbhagyepurn hai bohut hi. It was extremely incorrect. Aesa kisi k saath nahi hona chahiye. It was regrettable. This must not occur with any individual. This is not someone’s right to do. What she has done is against the law. She ought to be penalised for this. I can see why she could be angry or protesting, but the way she expressed it was very inappropriate. It might have been said more politely as well.This is not the way to raise your hand to anyone.” Adhyayan Suman was observed bowing his head while standing next to him.

The incident happened two days after Himachal Pradesh’s Kangana Ranaut was elected to the Lok Sabha from Mandi. According to sources, Kangana has been suspended and a FIR has been filed against her because the constable, who seemed to be furious with her for her stance on the farmer demonstrations, became upset. An investigation into the incident has also been ordered by the Central Industrial Security Force, which is in charge of airport security.
