Prior to the premiere of his film Chandu Champion, Kartik Aaryan discusses the exorbitant demands of the actors regarding compensation and the costs associated with their entourage.
Kartik Aaryan, who is ready for his upcoming release, ‘Chandu Champion‘ made comments against the increase in actor fees and entourage expenses. Kartik Aaryan thinks that this is a constructive conversation and that actors ought to receive a salary decrease in line with the movie. He was recently questioned by PTI over the rise in their entourage and the pay rise that successful performers expect.
“There are so many rights of a film when it releases,” Kartik Aaryan remarked. “In other words, you profit by “x” dollars. I believe the arithmetic adds up if the team as a whole benefits from the project’s value and your star value. If it doesn’t, you should cut yourself. You have to. It’s a constructive conversation.”
In the same interview, filmmaker Kabir Khan, who was also there alongside Kartik Aaryan, offered his thoughts on the current conversation, saying, “It’s a healthy debate and it’s getting a positive response from actors, directors, and producers.” The audiences’ habits of attending theatres decreased and their viewing habits shifted. There was a lengthy discussion about “What are the other ways we can make money if that’s decreasing?”
Speaking of films that are available on demand (OTT), Kabir Khan continued, “OTT became a significant source of income. However, when the industry experiences a little rough patch and realises that perhaps the recovery is not occurring as quickly as it once did, naturally, efforts to manage budgets will be made.
Kartik Aaryan remarked, “I feel the same way,” in agreement with his Chandu Champion director. “In all of my films, I’ve given it my all. The idea that mathematics must add up is what drives me. That’s the primary concern. Additionally, that’s what Sir was saying.”
Fans are eagerly awaiting June 14, 2024, as they are thrilled with the first trailer for Kartik Aaryan and Kabir Khan‘s debut collaboration Chandu Champion.
