KBC 16 : On the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) Season 16, Bengaluru contestant Utkarsh Baxi faced a challenging ₹25 lakh question about the Mahabharata that ultimately led to his loss. The question asked which god gifted a garland to Amba, declaring that whoever wears it will be the one to kill Bhishma. The options were: Lord Shiva, Lord Kartikeya, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Vayu.
Utkarsh, unsure of the answer, used the ‘Video Call a Friend’ lifeline, and his friend suggested Lord Shiva. However, not fully confident, he opted for the ‘Double Dip’ lifeline, first choosing Lord Shiva and then Lord Vayu, both of which were incorrect. The correct answer was Lord Kartikeya, who, according to the Mahabharata, gave Amba the garland after she performed rigorous penance.
Unfortunately, Utkarsh lost the chance to win ₹25 lakh and ended up taking home ₹3.2 lakh. This question highlights how tricky the quiz can be, even for well-prepared contestants.
