Khel Khel Mein : Akshay Kumar’s comedy continues his flop-streak, tanks amid three-way clash
Akshay Kumar‘s latest release, “Khel Khel Mein,” had a disappointing start at the box office, continuing his recent streak of underperforming films. The comedy-drama, which also stars Fardeen Khan, Taapsee Pannu, and Vaani Kapoor, earned just ₹5 crore on its opening day.
Despite generating more advance bookings than its competition, “Vedaa,” the film failed to attract audiences on spot bookings and lost out to “Vedaa,” which grossed ₹6.52 crore on its first day. “Stree 2,” another Independence Day release, outshone both, raking in ₹54.35 crore.
The underwhelming debut of “Khel Khel Mein” highlights Akshay Kumar‘s struggle to find box office success recently, despite positive reviews for his performance. The film is expected to pick up momentum over the weekend, but it faces tough competition from the other releases. Only time will tell if it can break through the current slump in Akshay Kumar’s filmography.
