The story of the story revolves around three characters of the movie. Kadhir, his grandfather Chellaiya and his grandmother. They live in the remote village of Kambur, Tamil Nadu.
They have a pet goat named Karupu. Kadhir is emotionally connected with his goat Karupu. Kadhir, his grandfather and the butcher named Vellaisamy have interlinked dreams about the goat.
They have to take hard decisions in order to fulfill their dreams by the dawn of the Diwali festival. What are their dreams which are related to the goat? What hard decision did they have to take? What will be the fate of the goat?
