Kill box office collection day 1: Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt’s extreme violent thriller, starring Lakshya, Tanya Maniktala, and Raghav Juyal, debuted strongly in India.
Kill box office collection day 1: Karan Johar and Guneet Monga‘s co-production, as well as Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt‘s action thriller, has had a respectable domestic debut. The violent picture, starring Raghav Juyal and Tanya Maniktala, and marking Lakshya’s debut, earned ₹1.20 crore at the Indian box office on Friday.
Kill had a single Bollywood premiere this week as Neeraj Pandey’s love saga Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, was postponed indefinitely due to distributor and exhibitor requests. However, the holdover from last week, Nag Ashwin’s post-apocalyptic sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD, continues to perform well at the Indian box office. The Telugu film stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan.
Kill, on the other hand, has a newcomer in the lead role. It is also an adult film due to the intense gore, which limits its audience in movie theatres. Despite being co-produced by Karan Johar‘s Dharma Productions and Oscar winner Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment, it will open on its own for a week. Next Friday, July 12, Sudha Kongara’s Soorarai Pottru remake Sarfira, starring Akshay Kumar, and Shankar’s action epic Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan, will open in theatres.
Kill is a ‘very violent’ film that takes place nearly completely aboard a train. Lionsgate Pictures acquired it for North American distribution, and it was released on more than 1000 screens on July 4, the American Independence Day. Kill received excellent appreciation during its global festival run, particularly at the Toronto International Film Festival last year. It will also be translated into a Hollywood picture by the John Wick producers, director Chad Stahelski, and Lionsgate Pictures.
