Kriti Sanon : expressed her pain of being an outsider in the industry
Actress Kriti Sanon has completed 10 years in the Hindi film industry. The actress made her Bollywood debut in 2014 with ‘Heropanti’ opposite Tiger Shroff. Recently, Kriti Sanon revealed that she was initially disappointed due to not having a film background and being an outsider, she also received a lot of appreciation in female lead roles like ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ and ‘Mimi‘
In Nikhil Kamath’s YouTube podcast, Kriti Sanon was asked if not having an acting legacy, even after a decade in the industry, affects her career. In response, she said, “Sometimes. I don’t have anyone to call. I have had such moments and a little disappointment before, but it took me a decade to get to where I am today. Today, there is a little less to prove, like I need to prove myself.”
Kriti said, “Whether it is with the box office or as an actress. I think I have always been hungry to be recognised as a good actress. Not just to have stardom. So, whether it is a particular performance, an award or a National Award, there is this feeling that ‘Okay, I don’t have to prove myself anymore, I just have to push myself and do what excites me.”
These days she is waiting for the release of her upcoming film ‘Do Patti’.
