Rashmika Mandanna’s first look from Sekhar Kammula’s Kubera debuted on Friday. The film is currently being shot in Hyderabad and stars Dhanush and Nagarjuna in the key roles. While the glimpse does not provide much, it does provide some insight into what the film may be about.
Rashmika shared her first look at the film on Instagram and X, captioning Kubera with multiple heart emojis. The 48-second video depicts her character walking to an isolated location in the middle of the night. She looks about before starting to dig with an iron rod and a shovel. Soon, she retrieves a huge suitcase off the ground and opens it to discover it full of cash. She prays with a big smile on her face before pulling it away.
The directors describe Kubera, which also stars Jim Sarbh, as a mythological pan-Indian film. Dhanush and Nagarjuna‘s first looks from the film have already been shown. Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao are producing the movie under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd, respectively. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi; the release date has yet to be revealed.
