The series is about a cellphone app known as Love Alarm. If someone likes you and is within a radius of 10 metres of you, the alarm for the app rings. The app shows the number of people who like you. But the app don’t reveal the identity of the person.
Kim Jo-jo is a high school student. She is pretty and smart. She is a cheerful person but deep inside she feels lonely. Her parents died when she was young. Since the death of her parents, Kim Jo Jo has lived with her aunt’s family. Living there is not easy for Kim Jo Jo. She doesn’t download the app because her phone isn’t new enough.
Hwang Sun Oh is a popular male student at the same high school that Kim Jo Jo attends. He belongs to a wealthy family. But he does not receive love and affection from his parents. His best friend, Lee Hye Yeong, also attends the same high school.
Hwang Sun Oh notices that his best friend, Lee Hye Yeong, likes Kim Jo Jo. Hwang Sun Oh wants to know if his friend really likes her, so he kisses her. What will happen when Hwang Sun Oh also develops feelings for Kim Jo Jo? What role will Love Alarm play in their life?
