Mahesh Babu cast for ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ : It’s an experience I will cherish with my children
Mahesh Babu has been cast as the voice of Mufasa in the Telugu version of Disney’s upcoming live-action film, Mufasa: The Lion King, directed by Barry Jenkins.
The superstar expressed his excitement about the project, highlighting that it’s an experience he will cherish with his children. Mahesh, who is a fan of Disney’s legacy, sees this role as not just a professional milestone but a personal joy, especially since his children will be able to enjoy it with him.
The film is set to release on December 20, 2024, and will feature Mahesh Babu’s commanding voice, bringing the iconic character of Mufasa to life for Telugu audiences.
This project continues the success of the 2019 The Lion King, which was also well-received in India. Alongside Mahesh Babu, veteran actors Brahmanandam and Ali will reprise their roles as Pumbaa and Timon, respectively.
