Manisha Koirala met British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at a celebration of the relationship between the United Kingdom and Nepal, held at his London residence

Manisha Koirala, who most recently starred in Netflix India’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, visited British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in his home at 10 Downing Street. The celebration of “100 years of the friendship treaty” between the UK and Nepal was marked by a series of photos from the occasion that the actor shared on Instagram on Wednesday.

Manisha Koirala, who attended the conference on behalf of her native Nepal, expressed her amazement in her caption when she discovered that the majority of attendees had seen her new web series, Heeramandi. In other candid images from the occasion, the actor was spotted alongside Rishi Sunak, dressed in a black and golden saree. She also appeared alone in a picture in front of 10 Downing Street.
“It was an honour to be invited to 10 Downing Street to celebrate United Kingdom – Nepal relations and 100 years of our friendship treaty,” Manisha Koirala captioned the photo. “Hearing Prime Minister @rishisunakmp talk well of our nation, Nepal, was such a delight. I went ahead and sent an invitation to the Prime Minister and his family to visit Everest Base Camp. Is it not amazing that the majority of attendees had watched and enjoyed Heeramandi on Netflix? I was ecstatic.”
