Manoj Bajpayee: ‘I am cast only in middle class roles’

Manoj Bajpayee became a victim of stereotyping

Manoj Bajpayee is one of the self-made actors of Bollywood. He has made his mark as a brilliant actor on the basis of his ability and hard work. Recently, he was awarded the ’70th National Film Award’ Special Mention.

Manoj has spoken openly about his film journey and said that he too was a victim of stereotyping. The actor said that he is only offered the role of middle class or a poor person.

Manoj Bajpayee, in a recent interview with Bombay Times, lamented that he is cast in middle class or poor stories and never in a rich man’s role. “The only film before Gulmohar where I played a rich man was Zubeidaa. It was Shyam Benegal’s belief. In Veer-Zaara, I played a Pakistani politician. I had two scenes in it, but Yashji was adamant that I do it. He cast me after watching Pinjar,” he said.

Talking about the work front, Manoj Bajpayee is in the news a lot about his upcoming series ‘The Family Man 3’ and the audience is also excited to see the actor rocking the screen once again.
