Manoj Bajpayee opens up about his initial failure and ladder to his role in blockbuster movie Veer Zaara

Manoj Bajpayee runs down to memory lane and remembers how Yash Chopra was determined to cast him in Veer Zaara

Manoj Bajpayee, who is slated to star in Bhaiyya Ji next, has talked candidly about the times he had to sign films just to make ends meet. Manoj remembered that most of his films failed miserably at the box office in 2002. Paradoxically, the actor won National Awards for a couple of his unsuccessful films. One such film was Pinjar, for which Manoj claimed that in addition to winning the National Award, it gave him the opportunity to collaborate with Yash Chopra.

“I got a National award for Pinjar,” Manoj stated in an interview with Siddharth Kannan. The Actor continued that the movie was a failure at the box office. But he got a lifetime opportunity from Pinjar. He got Veer Zaara out of it. After watching the movie, Yash ji became enthralled and insisted that he play that part in Veer Zaara.

“It was a bad time,” Manoj Bajpayee remarked, reflecting on the difficult conditions. The actor said that he really hope no one sees the down that he have witnessed. That moment when you have to complete a movie only because “ghar kaise chalega, ab paisa khatam ho raha hai.” The large home is empty, something that the public was unaware of.
