Mika Singh told that he lied to people about his hit song ‘Sawan Mein Lag Gayi Aag’. He told people that Javed Akhtar was associated with this song. Mika Singh recently said during an interview with Lallantop that he is a big fan of Javed Akhtar, so he felt that if he tells people that Javed Akhtar has written the lyrics of this song, then perhaps he will get more respect. Apart from this, he also used to show off in front of people that AR Rahman had helped with the music of the song, while the truth was that he himself had written the song and the music was also his.

Regarding the lies spread about Javed Akhtar, Mika Singh said, ‘When I made the song, I would ask people if they liked it? They would ask me who wrote it? And I knew that if I said that I wrote it, they would not take the song seriously. So, I would tell people that Javed Akhtar has written the lyrics and AR Rahman has helped in the music’. Mika Singh further said, ‘I like Javed sahab very much. I have met him many times in some shows.
I have always been a bit rude… I wanted them to pay attention to me, but they wouldn’t. We were at an award function right after ‘Ganpat’ released. I had to make a grand entry. I thought Javed sahab would definitely notice me, but he didn’t.
