Disney’s D23 fan convention was kicked off with a thrilling start as “Moana 2” stars Auli’i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson took the stage to perform a song from the highly anticipated sequel.
The event, held at the Honda Center in Anaheim, was packed with over 15,000 enthusiastic fans who were treated to sneak peeks of upcoming Disney projects, including “Toy Story 5” and “Incredibles 3.”
During the presentation, Disney revealed the first full-length trailer for “Moana 2,” which introduces new characters alongside familiar faces like Moana’s pet pig Pua and the Kakamora. Both Cravalho and Johnson are reprising their roles as Moana and Maui, respectively, with the movie set to release on November 27, 2024.
The convention also included other exciting announcements, such as the development of a live-action “Moana” film and new installments in beloved franchises like “Frozen” and “Avatar”.
