Kandote

Will McCance’s sports documentary Kandote profiles five members of the Ugandan national lacrosse team, who were among the players on the first African team that openly attempted to play in the World Lacrosse Championships. By exploring the lives of these individual team members, the filmmakers touch upon a variety of problems faced by people in Africa today including HIV and AIDS, and how the players’ commitment to the team have helped them overcome personal adversity.
