While at first it appears that Charlie has gotten the short end of the stick this year, the future rock start is overjoyed to find out that his mother has actually gotten him a brand new piano. Back on the island, Charlie is grief stricken after being shunned by Claire, and angered that she seems to have taken a shine to Locke. As Hurley tenuously voices his attraction to Libby, Sawyer and Kate grow increasingly uncomfortable about the growing alliance between Jack and Ana Lucia. Later, Charlie’s mind begins to play tricks on him when he thinks he sees Aaron’s cradle taking a beating out to see, only to snap back to reality standing on the shoreline with the baby in his hands. In the aftermath of the unsettling incident, everyone on the island begins to shy away from the obviously unstable Charlie.
