While they plan to settle down, veteran, world-weary cop Fred Ward is given the case of tracking them down before the violence escalates. George Armitage’s tough thriller, based on Charles Willeford’s crime novels, is a mix of violence and odd humour and, under the watchful eye of producer Jonathan Demme, crackles through its pace and fine acting.
