Unfortunately, old habits die hard. When a religious cult member at the airport offers Junior a flower, Junior breaks his finger and the religious cult member drops dead from shock. Miami Policeman Hoke Moseley is called to the scene and begins an investigation., Baldwin is a thief and a murderer who assualts and robs Miami cop Hoke Mosley (Ward). Posing as Mosley, Baldwin causes havok robbing people. Landing at Miami airport, he kills a Hare Krishna just for bugging him and at his hotel, meets up with hooker Jennifer Jason Leigh. While they plan to settle down, veteran, world-weary cop Fred Ward is given the case of tracking them down before the violence escalates. George Armitage’s tough thriller, based on Charles Willeford’s crime novels, is a mix of violence and odd humour and, under the watchful eye of producer Jonathan Demme, crackles through its pace and fine acting.
