Pied Piper Malone

Jack Malone (Thomas Meighan) is the youngest of 13 children. With no job opportunities available, Jack signs on as a sailor and promises Patty Thomas (Lois Wilson) that he will be true to her during his voyage. Jack is made first officer under Captain Clarke (George Fawcett), which causes the second officer Charles Crosby (Claude Brooke) to be resentful of his two superiors. When the ship is disabled in the China Sea by a vicious typhoon, Crosby is the first to reach land. He declares that the Captain and Jack were both drunk during the maritime disaster and declares he alone saved the ship from sinking. Jack and the Captain return to clear their names in this maritime melodrama with several comic passages.
