Sweepers

Action drama in which a former landmines specialist turned recluse, down-on-his-luck, fist fighter, is redeployed by the government to locate the origins of a major new explosive device being used by an unseen enemy., In this actioner, Dolph Lundgren stars as Christian Erickson, the leader of a crew of demolition experts trained to disarm mine fields. After his young son dies in a minefield during a rebel attack, Erickson drops out of sight and later resurfaces in war-torn Angola. There he meets Michelle Wyatt (Claire Stansfield), another bomb specialist who recruits Erickson to help expose a group of international terrorists. The two aren’t quite prepared for the surprising opponent their investigation uncovers., A bomb-squad expert (Claire Stansfield) in search of a particularly deadly form of land mine seeks the help of a reclusive explosives expert (Dolph Lundgren) who went into hiding following the death of his son.
