The Dictator

Wallace Reid stars in this political satire and comedy as Brook Travers, a young American who gets swept up in the revolution of a mythical South American country. Every week a new government replaces the old one as political unrest is the rule rather than the exception. Cabdriver Biff Dooley (Walter Long) is the gruff chauffeur who travels from New York to collect a $60 fare from Brook. Former Keystone Kop Kalla Pasha plays General Campos, with Theodore Kosloff as Carlos Rivas. Brook manages to win the revolution and win the heart of the beautiful Juanita (Lila Lee). Also appearing are Alan Hale, Sidney Bracey, and Fred Butler.
