Ed (John Lithgow) is a doomsday prepper, spending his days preparing himself for the end of the world rather than enjoying his retirement or maintaining a relationship with his adult son, Brian (Derek Cecil). He thinks he’s found a kindred conspiracy theorist in hoarder Ronnie (Blythe Danner), but their budding romance is tested when he reveals his true colors.
