Wishbone The Terrified Terrier

Modeled after the Civil War novel The Red Badge of Courage by Stephen Crane, this Wishbone episode has the literary pooch playing Henry Fleming, a young man who is growing up during the war. In the present day, Joe has problems deciding between hanging out with old friends Sam and David or new, more popular friends. In the corresponding historical-themed story, Henry learns how it is not right to leave his friends alone in “battle,” but how it is best to stick by them and “fight” together. This episode of Wishbone teaches children how it is wrong to turn your back on your friends and how to stand by your friends and not grow up too fast.
