Mukesh Khanna Slams Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Mahabharata’: ‘A Far Cry from the Original Epic’

Draupdi has tatoo in ‘Mahabharata’ : Mukesh Khanna said

Mukesh Khanna played the role of ‘Bhishma Pitamah’ in BR Chopra’s iconic show ‘Mahabharat‘. Apart from this, the TV show ‘Shaktimaan‘ also became quite popular, in which he played the roles of Shaktimaan and Gangadhar. He is remembered till date for these two characters.

Many more shows have been made on Mahabharata. But even after three decades, no other show made with the same name could show the charisma that BR Chopra’s Mahabharat had shown. Mukesh Khanna often expresses his views openly on social media. Recently he expressed his anger on Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Mahabharata‘.

In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Mukesh Khanna expressed his views regarding the show ‘Mahabharat’. He expressed his anger on Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Mahabharata’ and said, “Three-four people tried to make a serial on Mahabharata, in which there were big stars.” But no one could come close to the original because they did not have Dr. Rahi Masoom Raza and Pandit Narendra Sharma (both writers of Mahabharata). He did not have that dedication. An attempt has been made to tamper with our scriptures.

Mukesh Khanna has made this sarcasm regarding ‘Kahani Hamare Mahabharata Ki’ released in 2008. The ‘Shaktiman’ actor said, “The Pandavas were shown like models. The Pandavas were shown like models in bare-chested costumes. Arjun, Karna and Bhima were tall, but that was not enough. Draupadi was given tattoos. ”
