The series follows the story of the Murdaugh family, who are a prominent family in South Carolina. A fatal boating accident begins the unravelling of their legacy.
Alex Murdaugh was found guilty of murdering his wife and son, Maggie and Paul Murdaugh.
The series very closely follows the story of the whole incident. The first part shows all the circumstances that led to the criminal incident.
The second part of the documentary series will show the incidence from the point of view of those people who were around the Murdaugh family in the days leading up to the murders. This includes Libby Murdaugh’s former caretaker, Mushelle “Shelly” Smith, and the family’s housekeeper, Blanca Turrubiate-Simpson.
Morgan Doughty, Miley Altman, Connor Cook, and Anthony Cook will be seen in the series.
The series is directed by Jenner Furst and Julia Willoughby Nason.
