The series is set in the 1600s, during the Qing invasion of Joseon. The series follows the love story of a noblewoman and a mysterious man.
Noble woman Yu Gil Chae is a pretty, bubbly, and a bit spoiled young lady. She is been outcasted because other young ladies are jealous of her. They seem to think she’s too straightforward, and her behaviour is rude.
Lee Jang Hyun is a mysterious man who suddenly appears in town. Nobody knows anything about him. Young nobles don’t like him, but the elderly are wrapped around his finger.
Lee Jang Hyun has dark secrets and has decided not to marry after his tragic past. But he falls for Yu Gil Chae. The pair faces unexpected turns in their relationship as the war begins.
