The story of the movie revolves around a father and his son. The man walks across the rural village of Tamil Nadu with his son to bring back his wife.
A couple in the village is going through a rough phase of their lives. Their relationship is not going well. The man is an alcoholic. And abuses his wife more often. They are poor. They don’t have much to fulfil their basic needs in life. They have a son. Their son also witnessed the episodes of family abuse.
One day after a violent and abusive event the man throws his wife out of the house. Later he realises that his wife has been missing. He starts to search for her. He finds out that his wife had moved to her parents house. Her parent’s house is far away from his house.
The man decides to get his wife back to his home. He doesn’t have enough money to travel by any mode of transport. He walks all the way to his wife’s parents house. He takes his son with him.
The movie shows the painful journey of the man and his son. The man covered a long journey by walking in the hot and humid weather. He don’t have anything to eat and drink. And his innocent child is also with him. The harsh circumstances led them to face difficulties throughout their journey.
How did the man and his son manage to reach his wife’s village? Did he realise his mistake?
The story of the movie is based on the real-life incidents of the directo Vinoth Raj’s family. His family faced a poor life, and his sister had a bad experience of marital abuse. This led Vijay Raj to make this movie.
Vonithraj spent so much time finding a suitable location for the picturization of the movie. He found the location that was required for the story of the movie in Arittiapai, Madurai. The whole shooting of the movie took 30 days to complete.
Actors Chellapandi is playing the role of Velu, and Karuththadaiyaan is playing the role of Ganapathy in the movie, with various other actors in supporting roles.
