Tommy, an old man on the home planet, says he’s tired of being a kid and “retires”; Mary tells Dick she wishes she had become a singer., Tommy grows tired of having to handle all the youth-related duties when he’s the oldest member of the crew, so he retires from the mission and takes up residence at a retirement village. Dick tries to help Mary realise a long-cherished ambition.
