Willy’s Story
The first in a series of dramas by Jimmy McGovern about ordinary people who find themselves in the dock. Plumber Willy Houlihan has done well by himself and his family, but things go awry on the home and work fronts and it all begins to fall apart. Serendipity appears to offer an escape, but it proves an illusion. As Willy heads back to the courtroom to hear the verdict, the story of his misfortune unfolds., A plumber (Christopher Eccleston) having an affair with another man’s wife begins to experience financial woes, but what he finds in the back seat of a cab may either get him out of debt or land him in prison.
